Today is Dynamic4’s 24th birthday… and marks the transition to v9.0 of our business model.
When I started Dynamic4 in 2001, I didn’t really have any specific plans or ambitions. I designed it as a lifestyle business that could be adaptable enough to encompass my endless curiosity. And it is.
I feel very lucky and stoked to still be doing it.
A huge thanks to all the awesome people and communities I get to spend my time with… our team, clients, collaborators, program participants, and students. I love the work we do together – having fun while collaborating to solve problems that matter.

I often get asked about the origin story and why the name Dynamic4. On our 20th birthday in 2021, I wrote the abridged version as part of reflecting on the journey so far with some key things I’ve learnt on the way.
Being dynamic and adaptable – and responding positively to change – has been key to being around this long… and not just surviving, but thriving.
My past 32+ years of corporate life and startups – including Dynamic4 – have been full of learning, failing, iterating, and adapting. And still are.
As we start our 25th year, I’m excited about all the fun and learning the next year will bring, and the awesome people I get to do it with.
I’ve teased v9.0 of our business model. Over the past few months I’ve been reviewing and refining our Dynamic4 strategy for horizon 2030… and I’ll share more about our refined strategy and some deeper reflections in the coming days and weeks.
