Regenerative Leadership, Design & Innovation in Action – Byron & Northern Rivers

I’m testing interest in my Regenerative Leadership, Design & Innovation in Action workshop in Byron Bay February 2025. Will Stuart has invited me to speak at IxDA Byron Bay and I’m looking forward to another visit to one of my favourite places!

Here’s some stuff I’ve been tinkering with. All very draft – call it an early prototype for testing. I’d love your feedback on it… and to hear if you’re interested in being part of it as a participant, collaborator, funder, or all of the above 😃

Byron/Northern Rivers Audience

Challenges Faced

  • Navigating complexity with increasing ambiguity and uncertainty to make our aspirations of positive outcomes for people and our planet real – without going broke
  • Feeling exposed and vulnerable to criticism as diverse stakeholders expect and demand more of us
  • Looking after our wellbeing and doing work that aligns with our purpose and values

Value Prop

Lead with confidence, clarity & purpose to navigate complexity and solve problems that matter for your teams, customers, investors, communities, and our planet.

As designers and leaders, we make decisions everyday about our businesses/organisations, products, and services. Decisions that can move us closer to the world we want to see. Or not.

IxDA Byron Bay Talk: Regenerative Leadership, Design & Innovation for Happier Communities

~30-minute talk followed by a panel.

Some questions we’ll focus on:

  • Why regenerative?
  • How do we design, build, and launch business models, products, and services that are more regenerative? Solutions that customers and teams love, make money, and do great things for people, place, and planet while increasing wellbeing?
  • What’s this look like for us as individuals, as teams, as organisations, and for the communities we’re part of… and society more broadly?
  • How do I take this high-level aspiration and turn it into practice and organisational culture?
  • How do I design for regeneration in my own life and work?

Workshop: Regenerative Leadership, Design & Innovation in Action

This immersive three-part workshop is designed to help you lead with confidence, clarity, and purpose – so you can navigate complexity and solve problems that matter for your teams, customers, investors, communities, and our planet.

The people who’ll get the most value from this workshop are people who lead, design, and deliver change from a diverse range of contexts, focus areas, and expertise. Diversity of thought and experience makes us stronger.

Changemakers, designers, tech & product people, social innovators & social entrepreneurs, founders, investors, sustainability & regen leaders, community developers, and educators.

This isn’t about theory. This is about putting the principles and practices of regenerative leadership, design, and innovation in action.

We’ll learn through doing by collaborating with a local community partner on a real challenge – with guidance and coaching. Together we’ll cover some core concepts and principles, which will build on your strengths and what you already do.

The work we do together will focus on regeneration at the nested layers of… Personal (us as individuals), Performance (our teams and organisations), and Place & Planet (our collective communities, culture, economy, and living systems)…

The Regenerative Leaders Framework by Dynamic4 brings these five key elements together into an integrated practice:

  • Leadership & collaboration
  • Wellbeing & mindset
  • Purpose & vision
  • Design thinking & regenerative innovation
  • Workflow & momentum
