I’m stoked to be a member of the Learning Design Group for Understorey – a digital commons that exists to grow participation and capability in the Australian social enterprise sector.
Social Enterprise Australia is the steward and coordinator of Understorey, which is part of the Social Enterprise Development Initiative (SEDI) funded by the Department of Social Services (DSS).
The Learning Design Group is a small team of educational experts who bring deep knowledge in adult education and diverse perspectives. We’ll be co-designing the educational framework, ensuring that resources, perspectives, and the overall approach effectively support learning for the whole sector. Co-producing solid foundations for Understorey.
This builds on the great work that’s already been done by so many awesome people in the social enterprise ecosystem over the years.
I’m looking forward to working with a bunch of long-time friends and collaborators, and making a bunch of new ones too. The rest of the Learning Design Group is Usman Iftikhar, Sharon Zivkovic, Matt Pfahlert, Libby Ward-Christie, Antony McMullen, Chris Andrew, Liz Branigan,… and the SEA team includes Belinda Morrissey, Alex Hannant, Jess Moore, Christina Chun, and Megan Everingham.
And if that wasn’t enough, the Advisory Circle is a wider group of social enterprise experts with varied backgrounds and experiences – they’ll provide dynamic insights into the ecosystem’s needs and challenges. Another bunch of my favourite people including Frances Atkins, Lucy Brotherton, Gavin Heaton, Jessica Mendoza-Roth, Brianna Kerr, and more.
