Thanks to everyone who came along to our first Sydney Design Thinking Meetup at @iCentralCo last night and made it so much fun. Lots of mingling, extreme rock scissor paper face-off (thanks Lucas!), great talk by Kingsley… there may even have been some drinks… and we managed to start debating The Singularity at our first meetup!

Meetup Announcement
Thursday, 11 June 2015 @ 6pm. iCentral.Co by The Start Society, Sydney
To kickoff the group, the good folks at iCentral.Co by The Start Society at 234 Sussex Street have offered to host our very first Meetup this coming Thursday 11th June: 6:00pm doors open (meet in lobby) for a 6:30pm.
The first Meetup will be a get to know each other. One of my firms will be sponsoring drinks and pizza. For a kickoff, I will give an Introduction to Design Thinking talk and some colour on my own journey down this path through a range of activities in branding, strategy and product development R&D.
It won’t be a long talk, but I hope we can establish a format for the group to share experiences.
If folks are willing, we may back that up with a short few minute intro around the group (if you feel like it). Bring some ideas/experiences with these questions in mind:
- Why design matters to you
- Any “a-ha” insight that was fun for you
- What you think this group could achieve
Don’t feel like you have to, but I don’t want to hog the show. After that we can socialise.
Hope to see you all, and do invite other folks to join.
The venue at iCentral is a good size so we can fit 50 or more, and I am the guy picking up that tab :-)
