Sydney Design Thinking… 10,000 Members!

Sydney Design Thinking (SydDT) is now officially a community of 10,000 members!

Just now, I bumped into Fernando Bordallo from Atlassian at a CTO conference and told him we were at 9,999. He’s married to SydDT regular Berta Rincon – who has brought him to a couple of meetups, but he’d never joined.

He has now, and is our 10,000th member. The moment of celebration… it’s important to celebrate the wins when they happen. Welcome mate! 🎉

Come Celebrate

Our 10th birthday and meetup #114 is on 12 June. When I co-founded SydDT 10 years ago, this isn’t something I ever imagined. I’ll share proper reflections next month, but…

Thanks!

A massive thanks to our awesome SydDT community, you’re the reason we do this. I love seeing the connections and friendships being made and nurtured when we come together.

A huge thanks to the 191 people who’ve spoken at SydDT (54% women), the sketchnoters, sponsors and collaborators, and everyone who has shared their experience, brought their friends, and done write-ups (check out Rebecca Haar’s updates).

Finally, thanks to the rest of the organising team… Lucas Mara, Kate Linton, and Kylie Mageropoulos (and past members Kingsley Jones, James Cooper, and Zoe Gibson). We’re the small team who lovingly bring this to you every month…

New members are welcome, join our fun little community. You can find out what to expect, write-ups, photos & videos of past meetups… and if you’re interested in speaking or being a sponsor.

See you next month. With cake 😃
