For our 15th and final SydDT for 2025, we reflected on and celebrated the year that’s been. Continuing our tradition of EOY megameetups since 2018, we did this one as Design Connection #6 with our friends from the CCX and EUX meetups.

Our next meetup is SydDT #123: From Conflict to Co-creation with Authenticity with Sarah Stokes & Shari Elle on Thursday, 12 February 2026. This will be a practical workshop-style session on moving from conflict to co-creation… how to structure hard conversations with nonviolent communication.
Thanks for 2025!
It’s been another huge year for SydDT with 15 meetups. We also celebrated our 10th birthday and grew to 10,000+ members. Thanks for turning up and making it all so much fun!
We also started the Australia Design Thinking (AusDT) collective. AusDT brings together place-based design communities with 12,000+ members in Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Byron, Melbourne, Gold Coast – with in-person events in each location.
As new people come along, I consistently hear how they feel welcomed and included, about the value they get from the great speakers generously sharing their experience… and of course how much fun they had.
The biggest thanks goes to our awesome SydDT community.
