How’s things? I hope you’re having a fun week 😃
It’s hard to believe we’re into the final three months of 2024. I hope you’re making the progress you planned and are achieving your goals. I also encourage you to celebrate your wins… as they happen! Milestones are a big part of that.
In that spirit… Dynamic4 turns 23 today!
When I started Dynamic4 in 2001, I didn’t really have any specific plans or ambitions. I designed it as a lifestyle business that could be adaptable enough to encompass my endless curiosity. I’m stoked to still be doing it.
I often get asked about the origin story and why the name Dynamic4. On our 20th birthday in 2021, I wrote the abridged version as part of reflecting on the journey so far with some key things I’ve learnt on the way.
October is a milestone month for Dynamic4. 1 October is our birthday and 14 October will be three years since I launched my bestselling book Solve Problems That Matter.
To celebrate, I’m doing a 20% discount on any format of my book (print & digital bundle, print, pdf, or ebook). Use promo code SPTM-3RDBDAY at checkout. (Offer valid until 31 October 2024)
The past 23 years have been full of change and adapting… and that continues.
Coming soon…A little tease of something new coming soon.
When I say new, I’m talking about a new product that brings together several different programs we’ve been running over the past decade into a single program. It will also open up access to some things I’ve only been doing in-house with corporate clients and universities.
It’s all about helping you lead with confidence, clarity, and purpose to navigate complexity and solve problems that matter.
Ideas that teams and customers love, make money, and do great things for people and our planet while increasing wellbeing.
Like everything we do, it brings together five key experiential learning outcomes into an integrated practice.
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Design Thinking & Regenerative Innovation
- Wellbeing & Mindset
- Purpose & Vision
- Workflow & Momentum

That’s enough for now… I’ll share more on who it’s for and how it helps with the specific challenges they face, the benefits, and how the program actually works when I open for expressions of interest soon. If that’s got you curious though, give me a yell 😃
I’m excited for all the fun and learning the next year will bring, and the awesome people I get to do it with.
How do you look after the wellbeing of your team(s) while also improving your own wellbeing?
This is one of the questions I ask in the leadership research I’m doing. I’d love to hear your thoughts…
Get involved!
I’m curious to learn more about how you’re adapting to meet the rapidly increasing expectations of your teams, customers, investors, and regulators. I’ll present the findings from my research in a report. It might even evolve into my next book.
Join the waitlist for the report now to be the first to get it. When you join the waitlist, you’re also invited to complete the survey that takes ~5 minutes, and you can express interest in being interviewed.
There’s been a great response… a huge thanks to the 90+ people who’ve already shared their experience and insights. I’m doing more interviews at the moment too. More soon…

A couple of blog posts and a couple of events for you…
Active Recovery
Building the integrated workflows, rhythms, and habits with just enough structure to create sustainable momentum is one of the key things I help people with. Active recovery is a key part of the process.
2024 Australian Good Design Awards
Congrats to all of the winners of this year’s Australian Good Design Awards! It was a fun celebration of all things design.
SXSW Sydney… 10% Off Promo Code
The second year of SXSW Sydney is coming up fast! I’m stoked to be hosting a Sydney Design Thinking meetup as part of the program again this year on Monday, 14 October at 3:15pm. Great news… you DON’T need a SXSW Sydney badge to attend this event. Come and hang out 😃
Want a 10% discount on your Tech & Innovation, Music, Games or Screen badge? This link should automatically apply a 10% discount… but if it asks for a code, use BEN10OFF. I’m only allowed to share this privately with my network, so please don’t post publicly.
SydDT #104: Inclusive Design with Manisha Amin, Shaheen & Mariane Power
For our 10 October Sydney Design Thinking meetup, we’re lucky to have Manisha Amin, Shaheen, and Mariane Power leading a conversation on what inclusive design is – and isn’t – and the business case for designing for everyone.
A massive thanks to Sarah Stokes for organising Atlassian to be a SydDT sponsor for the first time 😃. Grab your ticket before it sells out. New members are welcome!
If you miss out you can always watch the recording. We’ve got a bunch on Youtube…
Let’s Collaborate
At Dynamic4, we specialise in coaching, training, and working alongside leaders to solve problems that matter. With 30+ years in financial services, this is one of my happy places.
A key way we do this is by designing and delivering action learning experiences with masterclasses, workshops, innovation sprints, and leadership, design thinking & innovation programs.
We bring together design thinking, regenerative innovation, wellbeing, and purpose into an integrated practice.
These sessions build personal, team, and organisational capability to lead with confidence, clarity, and purpose:
🌿 Confidence to navigate complexity and solve problems that matter for your teams, customers, shareholders – and build momentum with more certainty and less risk while increasing your wellbeing
❤️ Clarity to empathically engage your stakeholders, make better decisions, and collaborate to create solutions that your teams and customers love, make money, and do great things for people and our planet
🎯 Purpose that drives progress on your goals and creates meaningful value that you’re proud of for all stakeholders – and build the relationships, workflows, rhythms, and habits for success
